KINGSVILLE, Ontario, February 8, 2021 – Greenway Greenhouse Cannabis Corporation (“Greenway”) is excited to announce that they have been awarded a standard cultivation licence from Health Canada. This milestone allows Greenway to immediately begin operations in their recently retrofitted greenhouse and new post-harvest processing space, located in Leamington, Ontario, Canada.
“Greenway is now the only cannabis company that has both a nursery and a cultivation licence in Ontario, and one of the first in Canada. This represents an important benchmark for Greenway and for the industry at large. Our goal is to become the leading cannabis cultivator within the Canadian marketplace” – Jamie D’Alimonte, CEO of Greenway.
Greenway completed the retrofit of the over 41,750 ft 2 state-of-the-art greenhouse facility in 2020, and with this licence, is ready to start producing craft quality cannabis. The construction also includes a 15,500 ft 2 of high-tech processing space, which is capable of handling roughly 42,000 kg of cannabis annually. This space will be able to process the full production capacity from Greenways planned future expansions.
“Over the past year our team has now secured both a nursery and cultivation licence from Health Canada, something we have worked very hard to achieve both on time and on budget,” expressed Darren Peddle, CFO of Greenway. “I want to thank Minister Hajdu, her staff, MP Kusmierczyk, Kingsville Mayor Nelson Santos and Leamington Mayor MacDonald for all of their time and effort in helping us accomplish this.”
